Marble Kitchen Bar Top Makeover
The Marble Kitchen Bar Top gave our kitchen the perfect finishing touch, so today I like to share how we transformed an old laminated kitchen bar top into a stunning new kitchen bar.
Our old kitchen bar was in need of a makeover, although I had tried to make the best out of the old cabinets and countertops by painting them, we decided to start fresh with new cabinets, countertops, and backsplash. At the beginning of this year we then tore down everything, you can find our entire step by step process of the Kitchen remodel here.

After the tear-down, we realized what a great impact the new kitchen would make. We were really excited and worked every day and night while the kids were sleeping. I took us about 1 month to complete the kitchen.

I loved to work with Fireclay’s Chaine Homme shape in the ocean-inspired sea green color Fennel, and the recycled clay body worked perfectly in my new kitchen.

After we lifted off the old laminated bar top, we exposed a glued and nailed down board which was in perfect condition. This made the installation of our new bar top a breeze!
This is what the granite and marble guys used to glue down our new Marble bar top, not sure what they had in the Folgers bucket, but it had a sharp scent to it!
After a 24 hours setting time, we were able to use our new bar top. This is my second favorite piece out of our new kitchen, love the marble!
Hope you enjoyed and got inspired by my kitchen bar top transformation! I am currently getting our home ready for the Holiday’s, so stay tuned for the Holiday version of our kitchen.
