Welcome to a fun 10 Beautiful Upholstery Chair Projects Collection which hopefully will inspire and maybe motivate you, to start or get your own project finished!
My current chair project is in the works and I was hoping to spark some of the motivation. While working on this post and seeing all these beautifully made upholstery chairs.
Although, it can be quite frightening to start a Chair upholstery or chair makeover on your own. It is even more rewarding once you complete your project and are able to enjoy it or even sell it.
A little story about one of my own chair makeovers, I had bought a chair for only $20 of off Craigslist but was so imitated by this chair that it took me over 4 years to actually start the project.
This wingback chair has traveled with me overseas to Japan, where I started the makeover process and now we are able to enjoy this unique wingback chair every day.
What did I learn?
I learned that due to this chair makeover, I have increased my chances of starting a new project without any fear. With each makeover, I gain knowledge that certainly nobody would teach me for free. Therefore the mistakes we make are reasonable, we learn from them and they make us better with each new task.
So, let’s see which of the following chair makeovers is your favorite, leave me your favorite in the comment section at the end.
Seems like painting over the fabric would be a quick and easy method if the cushions are still intact.
But above all giving the woodwork a new coat of paint is not only cost-effective but also allows you to transform the chair in a matter of 30+ minutes.
Finally, creating a slip-on cover for your chair might be a great project if you don’t feel ready to tackle an entire chai makeover. Sometimes, baby steps are better than no movement at all.
I am a big fan of piping and tufting on upholstered furniture, I gave an upholstered coffee table a makeover, which had both these extras incorporated.
I hope today’s board will inspire you, and that you’ll share it with your friends.
