DIY // Colorful Paint Dipped Spoon Handles

Today I have a simple DIY that will add a splash of color to your kitchen. I love my bamboo and wooden spoons, I use them daily. I got the idea that my wooden kitchen tools would look great with a splash of color on them. But rather than literally dipping them, I did a dipped version by using Acrylic, modpodge, masking tape and a small brush. Please see my short tutorial below. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Step 1: Tape an edge around the entire handle at either straight or an angle

Step 2: Start applying the first thin coat of acrylic

Step 3: Let the spoons dry before applying the second coat

Step 4: When spoons are dry, give them a last coat of mod podge and let them dry 24h. The mod podge will give them some protection (I even put one spoon in the dishwasher after handling raw meat)
