Spotlight Feature // Skeleigh’s Madness Handmade Jewelry

Kadena Market Day was great yesterday! I met some amazing people and got me a few things while it was slow. Okinawa has very talented -crafty people, and I love to feature them as I met each of the entrepreneur out here.

Today, I like to introduce Mrs. Shannon she is the owner and creator of Skeleigh’s Madness Handmade Jewelry, I was literally blown away by her talent, she made this gorgeous necklace (see above), and it only took her about 8hours!!!

She makes amazing beaded jewelry, Resin pendant necklaces and much more…

Shannon told me about her story, and what the purpose of her business is. It just broke my heart to hear that she had lost her son a few years back. Ok, so let herself tell us about – herself and her business.

All about skeleigh:

I have been making and selling jewelry for about 15 years, give or take. I’ve sold on eBay and Etsy under the name skeleigh for years now.

For anyone wondering – skeleigh is pronounced like “skelley.” My maiden name is Shannon Leigh Kelley – so skeleigh is just S. Kelley but spelled like my middle name. Get it?

I donate a portion of my sales to organizations that fund childhood cancer research. Lately my donations have been going to St. Baldrick’s. My son, Keeghan, died at the age of 12 after a 2+ year battle with brain cancer. In the past year I have shaved my head for St. Baldrick’s twice, and raised over $6,000 in the process. I will keep making donations, both of the monetary and the hair variety, until a cure is found. No one should ever have to feel the pain that I feel every day missing my son.

So, if you see something you like, message me. I will try to keep things up-to-date as far as what is available and what is sold.

Thank you for looking!
