DIY // Kids Room Wall decor and Book Storage

After six months in our new home, I finally found a wall decor that I liked and was easy to make for Jasmine’s room. This wall decor was featured on OhJoy’s Blog, and she adapted the idea from the Winter issue of Martha Stewart Weddings back in 2010.

We started with nothing on the walls

…to circles

The copper looking circles are so cute, and give her room such a cute feel to it. It’s super simple to make, all I used was a large circle cutter and metallic contact paper. The circles I cut in different sizes and placed them randomly along one side of the wall. 

Then I found these simple but so handy Picture ledges at Ikea, they made such a great book storage/display. 

All we had to do was attach them to the wall…

and that’s it!

She loves her new room now.
