Hope you all had a beautiful Thanksgiving! We spend the evening at a friends house, and she made such an amazing Thanksgiving dinner, I had to roll myself onto the couch after dinner. Today, I’ll be sharing a Christmas Home Tour 2016 & $600 Giveaway.
I did something totally crazy. I sold my Christmas tree which we had since 2014. We live in a government apartment (due to the military), and the space we have is so limited, that’s why the big tree had to go. Storing three boxes of Christmas tree is just not working if you don’t have storage space.
I looked for trees at our local malls but the prices for Christmas trees are ridiculous, and they didn’t have what I wanted. So, after 5 or 6 websites turned me down because of the shipping destination. I almost lost it; then Walmart came to my mind. And guess what they had the Flocked Pine Christmas Tree I wanted, and I got it delivered within a week, WOW!!! That’s amazing.
If you like to see, my previous Christmas Tours start here with a post on how I transformed a regular Christmas tree into a flocked tree.
You can find my 2014 Christmas Tour here, 2015 Christmas Tour here and here.
Ok, are you ready because I sure am. It took me three days to get this Christmas Home Tour ready for
you, me and the family. Plus I have an AMAZING giveaway for you, $600 WHAT?!? That will make a great Christmas gift don’t you think? Make sure to enter below and share this post with friends and family. Enjoy!
Christmas Home Tour 2016 & $600 Giveaway
Welcome to our military home, sit back and enjoy the tour!
Our Living room is very dark because it’s in the back of the room. On top of little natural light flow, we also had inclement weather outside which made the room even darker, ugh! I did the best I could with Lightroom and Photoshop.
There it is, this beautiful Pine tree is such an eye candy. Love the romantic floral decor I chose for this year’s theme. Keep on scrolling; I got more in store for you!
You probably know by now that if I am close enough to a flower, I’d be all over it, matter fact it’s all flowers; faux flowers, crepe paper flowers, and real flowers. I can’t live without them!
So naturally I added these Peony Silk Bridal Bouquet in Cream White from Afloral.com to my tree with a couple of Peony Silk Flower in White.
I also used stars which I got locally, these are the closest matching stars I could find online. Other than the stars, I added a few wooden ornaments, my ivory ornaments from last year and some cute owls we found with the kids.
Underneath the tree I have a Christmas Tree Skirt Plush Shaggy Faux Fur in White and some prewrapped gifts, which I wrapped with the “Night Blue PaperSource Wrapping paper”.
I love that wrapping paper, I use it for almost all gift wrapping and simply customize the gift with a handwritten note.
I couldn’t resist incorporating the Clear Glass Cylinder Vase from Afloral again; it’s such a great vase to have. You can find the Submersed Faux Floral Tutorial over here.
The tablescape this year is my next favorite after the glorious Christmas tree, I used tropical leaves (oh yes!), ribbon, linen, and paper flowers. Isn’t this Striped Ribbon AMAZING? And the Cream Linen Table Runner makes for a perfect match.
My favorite about this table are the Artificial Monstera Leaf Centerpiece Placemats, I also used Artificial Magnolia Leaves and a handmade Crepe Paper Magnolia (made by me).
The magnolia leaves can be used as name tags so your guests know where to sit, I left mine blank because I need them for another tutorial 😉
The centerpiece is made of real flowers and two Silk Garden Cabbage Roses. Two decorative pine branches surrounded by pinecones.
The Glass Floral Vase in Frosted Light Blue is one of my new faves. And to keep the ribbon in place I used two Glass Rose Bubble Bowls which I filled with polyester stuffing and added a couple of branches from my garlands.
Can you believe this cute advent calendar? Totally scored the last one from a local store, do you use advent calendars?
And here is an adorable Santa that I scored locally as well, it’s made in Germany, YAY!
Mirrors are great to use with wreaths, don’t you think? Makes a dark space a little brighter, too.
Before I let you go, I like to say THANK YOU for stopping by, thank you for following me on the blog and on my Social media. I hope you enjoyed my Christmas Home Tour, I had a blast getting it ready.

You did such a great job! We have lived in a lot of rental apartments too, and I understand it can be difficult to not have things exactly how you want them to be. You have embraced it though, and it looks lovely!! Great giveaway, too. Entered 🙂
