My name is Oyindoubara and I run OYINDOUBARA (pronounced o-yin-doh-bra) a Christian line of handcrafted jewelry designed for the soul who appreciates the modern and classy with an edgy demeanor. I work a lot with gemstone beads and components that add a touch of sparkle or character to a piece and I’m inspired by simplicity and minimal designs.

Born and raised in Lagos, I got my love for beading from my mother, who taught me, on her bedroom floor how to make a simple beaded necklace one summer holiday when I was in college. Ever since, I have trained myself in different beading & jewelry making techniques and developed an eye for quality. 

OYINDOUBARA was also created to help support the education of young children in West Africa starting in Accra, Ghana by funding the education of a young child in elementary or high school and more recently supporting projects that help improve the kind of education received by teaching kids to develop their creative capabilities. With this, I hope to see a new generation of creative leaders empowered to change the face of our society and passionate leaders who can design and implement creative solutions to the problems we face. 

I believe strongly in the sophistication of simplicity and like to share words of encouragement and empowerment to people via my blog.
